How do I connect my first device?

Choose your device’s provider in Add a Device, sign in to Port OS, and follow the provider’s connection steps. After approval, open Your Devices to see what was discovered.

Why is my device missing?

Check that you connected the provider account that owns the device. Open Your Devices, clear your search and filters, and refresh the list. Available devices and controls depend on what the provider exposes.

Open Your Devices
My connection code expired. What should I do?

Return to the provider setup page and request a new code or restart the connection. Complete the new approval steps in the provider’s app or website, then return to Port OS.

Open provider setup
My AI cannot see or control my devices.

First check that the device appears in Your Devices. Then follow your AI client’s guide and sign in to the same Port OS account. Review the access you grant and ask your AI to list your devices before trying a control.

A control is missing or a command did not work.

Port OS shows controls supported by the device’s connection. Refresh the device page and check the device in its original app. If the issue continues, email support with the provider, the control you tried, and any visible error.

How can I request a provider or report a bug?

For a provider request, use the request option in Add a Device. For account or device issues, email private support. Public GitHub issues are suitable for general technical bugs and feature ideas; avoid posting account details or private screenshots.
