Control Seam smart locks and access codes with AI
Connect your Seam workspace to Port OS. Read supported lock state, lock or unlock a door, and manage the PIN codes your connected lock supports.
Use the smart locks already connected to your Seam workspace from a compatible AI assistant. Port OS exposes supported lock controls, battery and connectivity information, and access-code operations for your connected locks.

What you can do
- Read available lock state, connectivity and battery information.
- Lock or unlock a supported door.
- Query, create, update or delete supported PIN codes.
- Inspect the result of an access-code operation that is still in progress.
For example, ask “Is the front door locked?” Name the exact door before requesting a change. Seam supports several device categories, but Port OS's current Seam integration covers locks and their supported PIN operations.
What you need
You need a Seam workspace with the intended locks connected, plus an API key authorized for that workspace. Complete any provider setup in Seam first. Port OS does not remove a lock manufacturer's bridge, internet or account requirements.
Connect your workspace
- Choose Seam and enter your workspace API key in the Port OS website. Keep the key out of chat and screenshots.
- Open Your Devices and check that the intended locks appear.
- Connect your AI and review which locks and actions it can access.
The door lock and security guide explains target selection, supported controls and verification.
Access-code limits and troubleshooting
PIN support varies by lock. A lock may support only some code operations, and a provider can take time to apply a change. Inspect the operation result and current code records before treating a request as complete or sending it again.
If a lock is missing, check its Seam workspace and the API key's access. If the lock is offline in Seam, resolve that connection first. An unknown lock state must remain unknown until a current reading is available.
Review the privacy policy and protect access codes as credentials. For failed connections, use connection troubleshooting or contact support without including keys or PINs.
