Control Roborock with ChatGPT, Claude and Port OS
Connect a supported Roborock vacuum to Port OS cloud. Check state, start cleaning, return to the dock and use available room-cleaning controls.
Connect a supported Roborock vacuum to your AI assistant through Port OS cloud. Ask it to start cleaning, pause, return to the dock or clean a named room when your robot exposes that control and its room map is available.

What you can do
| Task | Supported vacuum controls |
|---|---|
| Start or pause cleaning | Start, stop and pause when exposed by the connected robot |
| Send it home | Request return to the dock |
| Clean a room | Target an available mapped room using the robot's supported room-cleaning control |
| Check the robot | Read available battery, reachability and operational state |
| Choose a cleaning mode | Use the suction, water-flow or cleaning-mode options that the robot declares |
Try “Send the vacuum back to its dock” before building a more complex workflow. For room cleaning, ask the assistant to find the robot's available rooms and select the intended room. A room name alone does not prove that a matching robot map segment exists.
Generated product UI example: this vacuum card illustrates Port OS controls. It is not a screenshot of a physical Roborock being controlled. Controls, room support and fresh state depend on your connected model.
What you need
You need a Port OS account, a supported device already set up in the Roborock account, internet connectivity and access to the account verification flow. Have the robot's maps and room names ready in the manufacturer app before attempting named-room cleaning.
The current integration targets Roborock V1 vacuums and supported A01 appliances. This page describes vacuum controls, not a guarantee for every Roborock model, camera function or appliance. A product that works in the Roborock app still needs a supported Port OS integration path. Ask us about your model if compatibility is unclear.
Connect and try one task
- Choose Roborock, sign in to Port OS if needed, and complete the account verification steps shown there.
- Open Your Devices and confirm the discovered robot and its available controls. Check room discovery before requesting a particular room.
- Connect your assistant, approve the intended access and request one clear action on the named robot.
Use the vacuum and room-cleaning guide for targeting and verification. The provider group guide explains why a Port OS group edit is not a robot-map edit.
Compatibility and troubleshooting
Roborock support is alpha and varies by protocol, model and the controls reported by discovery. Port OS does not create, split or merge robot map segments through ordinary group membership edits. A renamed or unavailable room may need its mapping refreshed before another cleaning request.
If the robot is missing or unavailable, check its account and connectivity in the Roborock app, then complete any account challenge requested by Port OS. If named-room cleaning fails, check the active map and the exact rooms returned for that robot rather than substituting a whole-home clean.
An accepted request can still be pending. Ask for a fresh state check when you need confirmation; stale state is not evidence that cleaning started or finished. Connection troubleshooting covers authorization and unavailable-device cases.
Availability and privacy
Roborock is available in the Port OS alpha catalog. Confirm your model before choosing the service, and contact us for current availability or pricing. Your assistant and device provider may have their own account or subscription requirements.
Room and device information can pass through the chosen AI client and cloud services. Review the privacy policy and the access you grant. Connecting MCP does not make your assistant monitor the robot continuously or create a cleaning schedule on its own.
