Control TP-Link Kasa plugs and bulbs with AI
Connect supported TP-Link Kasa smart plugs and bulbs to Port OS. Switch power, adjust supported lighting and read available device state from your AI assistant.
Use your existing Kasa plugs and bulbs from a compatible AI assistant. Port OS connects the supported devices in your TP-Link Kasa account to its cloud service, so you can request changes from chat or the browser.

What you can do
- Switch a supported Kasa smart plug on or off.
- Switch a supported bulb and set its brightness.
- Change colour or colour temperature on bulbs that provide those controls.
- Read available power state and connectivity.
Try “Turn off the desk plug” or “Dim the bedside bulb to 30%.” A plug controls its power outlet. It does not expose the internal settings of the appliance connected to it.
What you need
Use a TP-Link account with supported devices already set up in Kasa and available through its cloud service. Keep those devices online. Port OS does not require an additional hub, but it still depends on the devices' own network and account connection.
This page covers the TP-Link Kasa integration. It does not promise support for Tapo cameras, Deco routers or every TP-Link product. Colour controls depend on the bulb model.
Connect in three steps
- Choose TP-Link Kasa and complete the account details requested by the website.
- Open Your Devices and check the discovered plugs and bulbs.
- Connect your AI, review its access and try one clearly named device.
The lighting guide covers selecting bulbs, switches and plugs without confusing them.
If a plug or bulb is missing
First check the device in Kasa and confirm that you connected the same TP-Link account. If it is offline there, restore its network connection before retrying in Port OS.
If only some controls appear, check the model's capabilities. A white bulb does not gain colour control, and this integration does not advertise energy metering. For an unresolved failure, follow connection troubleshooting or contact support with the model and failed step.
